Buddy Writing
Today we did some buddy writing with room7.We helped them to re-craft their writing samples. This is me and my buddy Niko I hope we get to do this again,it was fun!
Tsunami Description
I
was standing behind the camera. I could see all the waves crashing up
against the buildings and houses. I could see all the destruction
happening. It was chaos. I couldn’t believe my eyes...It was terrible
and horrible...
I
could hear the wind pushing the waves and making them powerful. I
could hear the people screaming and crying. I could hear alarms going
off like dogs.
The tsunami was so frightening, it was making buildings bust and fall with its big powerful waves.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the big waves submerging into much more bigger waves. It was very catastrophic!
But
I would always glare at the most biggest wave. It was big and round.
While I would glare, I could see people running. It was very
destructive. When I would see the people get washed away by the waves
and sea water.

Layers of the earth
WALT-make a model of the layers of the earth out of play-dough.
So...that when we learn about natural disasters we can use our knowledge of the layers to understand them better.
To...help us in topic and science and learn about the earth around us.
The crust contains continents and seas. The thickness of the crust is 15-75km.
The next layer is the upper mantle. It is 400km thick. It’s made out of iron, magnesium and silicates.
The lower mantle is more dense then the upper. It is 2300km thick.
The outer core is a liquid. It contains iron, nickel and sulphur. The outer core is 2300km
deep.
The inner core is solid. It also contains iron, nickel and sulphur. The inner cores temperature is 6650 degrees Celsius!

We are learning the Maori names for Natural Disasters. This is our new topic. We had to illustrate each word to show what it meant. I hope you like my illustrations.
