My Recount

As I had firmly begun  packing my warm clothes into my light blue gym bag with my grape-smelling conditioner and shampoo to go to my cousin Lethaniel's grandfather’s house, I could hear my mother's voice shouting “HURRY UP DESTINY, IT’S TIME TO GO!”I had then swiftly picked up my bag and slowly walked down our brown, hard, wooden staircase.I then escorted my bag to the boot of my mum’s Subaru.

When my mum and I reached my destination where I had been dropped off she had then gave me a huge hug and a big kiss.Once my mum had left , my cousin Lethaniel flew out of his grandfather’s house and like Flash he ran around me like he was about to round up a cattle I  then laughed.  When he had finally stopped, he said to me in a deep voice “Are you coming inside or what?”

I carried on laughing and then walked inside of the house my two uncles were there too.  Junior, Graham and Norman, well my cousin’s grandfather Senior Graham was outside.  I was really happy that my uncles were there because they’re both my favourite uncles.
Then after me talking to my uncle’s, we had dinner.  Roast potatoes and roast pork it was so divine.  A little while after that I felt really tired so I then hobbled my way down to the guest room and went to sleep.

Sunday morning, I woke up to the cosy sun beaming down on me in the room. I
was so relaxed and comfy, until... my cousin ran in, in a blast and told me “GET UP! GET UP! GET UP! GET UP!” In a marching voice, when I had gotten out of my bed all I could hear was “We’re going to Mt Ruapehu!”. It was so annoying he had repeated it and repeated it. When I had gotten change, I walked outside. All I could see was the warm sun and Graham’s mitsubishi packed for our holiday, it was a beautiful sight especially on Graham’s deck .

When we had all jumped in the car we waited for the cats to jump in the car too so we waited and waited and waited, until... , half an hour later... ,they had finally got in the car.  When the cats had found their way to the car, we were off into the sunset heading faraway where snow is and you’d like to play.

As we were passing through all the different areas there was one area that made me the most sad, it was close to Lake Rotoaira Forest, there were graves. When we had stopped for something to eat  I had asked Graham “Why were those graves back there?”
In a calm voice, he had then replied  “There  lay the bodies of the five sisters they were all still young and very pretty.   One day the oldest sister was driving, the rest of the sisters were in the back. She had started to get frustrated and panicked the next thing you know they all died.” “How?” I had asked. He then said, “In a car crash silly what did you think?”  When he had asked me that I started laughing.

When we had reached our destination, Lake Rotoaira, I unpacked and then ran around a bit.
When the sun was slowly going down I had to go back to the caravan, when I got there I saw my aunt and my cousin Lethaniel playing last card. Once I had gotten inside I went straight to bed because of how tired I was.

The next day we went Skiing I had to do a lesson in happy valley it was so much fun . After that we went back to the caravan and packed our bags and off we went once again into the sunset towards home, Auckland.
